safety, first.

love.doctor was built to help with the everyday messy stuff. but life isn't always everyday — and when something serious comes up, it matters that we get out of the way and point you to a real human.

if you need help right now

in the U.S. — call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). 24/7, free, confidential.

LGBTQ+ youth — the Trevor Project: 1-866-488-7386, or text START to 678-678.

domestic violence — National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788.

anywhere else in the worldfindahelpline.com has free options for your country.

these aren't formalities. they're real lines staffed by real people who answer hard calls every day. you don't have to be in a defined "crisis" to call. you don't have to know what to say first. they'll help you find the words.

what love.doctor is

  • a private AI you can talk to about love, friendships, family, and feelings
  • built to listen first, ask one good question, then help you figure out what you actually want to do
  • grounded in evidence-based therapy frameworks (gottman, EFT, attachment, CBT, NVC) — translated into plain language
  • queer-affirming for every orientation, every gender, every kind of relationship
  • available 24/7 — for the moments when your therapist isn't, or when you don't have one

what love.doctor is not

  • not a therapist. it doesn't diagnose, prescribe, or make clinical decisions. it can't replace a human professional who knows your full history.
  • not a doctor. nothing it says is medical advice.
  • not a crisis line. if your life or someone else's is at risk, please reach out to one of the numbers above immediately.
  • not your only option. we'd rather you talk to a human you trust if one is available.

what we built into the product

crisis-aware

when love.doctor detects signals of self-harm, suicide, abuse, or other serious situations, it pauses normal conversation and clearly points you toward the real-human resources above. it doesn't try to "handle it" itself.

queer-affirming by design

it doesn't assume your partner's gender. it doesn't ask you to come out. it doesn't moralize about identity. and when crisis support is needed, it surfaces LGBTQ+-specific options like the trevor project alongside general lines.

holds complexity

love.doctor is trained not to take one-sided positions against an absent person based only on what you've shared. it'll help you see your situation, including the parts that might be hard to look at.

knows when to stop

if a question is genuinely outside its scope — medical advice, legal advice, anything requiring expertise it can't responsibly bring — it'll say so plainly instead of guessing.

your privacy is part of your safety

nothing you say to love.doctor is sold, shared, or used to build a profile of you. you can delete any conversation, or your whole account, in one click. our full privacy policy is here.

if something feels wrong with the AI

if love.doctor ever says something hurtful, ignorant, or harmful — please tell us. email [email protected] with what happened. we read every report and use them to make the model safer.
