we built this for the
3am moments.

the fight you can't sleep through. the text you can't decode. the crush you can't tell anyone about. the breakup nobody knows you're still grieving. love.doctor is for the in-between.

why we exist

most people will need to talk through something messy this week — a relationship, a friendship, a family thing, a feeling they don't have a name for. most people don't have a therapist on call, a wise friend who's awake at 2am, or the time and money to wait for one. so we suffer quietly. handle it badly. spiral alone.

we started love.doctor because we kept watching this happen to people we love. the friend who stayed two years too long because she was scared to be alone. the cousin who never said the thing he needed to say to a parent before it was too late. the stranger on a forum at 2am asking "is this normal? am i overreacting?" and getting answers from people who had no idea what they were talking about.

emotional clarity shouldn't be a luxury good.

what we believe

listening comes first.

the best therapists don't lead with advice — they reflect, they ask, they make space. love.doctor is built the same way. before it suggests anything, it tries to actually understand.

← yes, we actually believe this

frameworks should be invisible.

love.doctor draws from real evidence-based therapy research — gottman, sue johnson, attachment theory, cbt, nvc. you'll never hear those names in your conversation. you'll just feel that someone is finally making sense.

every kind of love is welcome.

straight, queer, questioning, asexual, polyamorous, casually dating, deeply in love — all of it. we built this to be safe and useful for whoever you are and whoever you love. you don't have to explain yourself or come out to a chatbot.

it is not a clinician.

love.doctor cannot diagnose, prescribe, or replace a human in a crisis. it knows its limits — and when something serious comes up, it will gently and firmly point you toward real human help.

therapy is irreplaceable for many things. love.doctor is for everything else.

your story is yours.

what you say to love.doctor stays between you and love.doctor. we don't sell data, build profiles, or surface conversations to anyone. our privacy policy spells out exactly what we do — in plain english, not legalese.

who's behind it

love.doctor was started by a small team that has, between us, spent the last decade building thoughtful software, training large language models, and quietly going to a lot of therapy. we work with licensed therapists and relationship researchers as advisors — not because the AI needs babysitting (it does), but because we care about getting this right.

we're independent. not owned by a dating app, a wellness conglomerate, or a social network. we have no incentive to keep you addicted to anything — only to give you the conversation you needed, when you needed it, and let you go live your life.
